This rigid vintage bracelet combines shiny silver with an elongated, navette-shaped element of dark wood. The silver band runs asymmetrically along the wood and curves around the shape on one side. This makes the wood appear not simply placed on the bracelet, but truly part of the design.
In the middle of the wood is a small silver setting with an octagon-cut diamond of approximately 1.8 to 2 mm. The stone is modest in size, but forms exactly the right point of light in the dark wood.
The type of wood could not be determined with certainty. Due to its almost black color and fine structure, it is reminiscent of ebony.
The bracelet opens on the side with a hinge. The serrated closure pin slides into the bracelet and is additionally secured with a hinged flap and a pin. The closure works well and keeps the bracelet firmly closed.
On the inside are a hallmark 925, the same stylized double maker's mark as on the matching ring, and a small additional hallmark. The latter hallmark is insufficiently clear to be reliably read. The maker could not be identified.
The bracelet is in good vintage condition. Scratches, small dents, and normal signs of wear are visible on the silver. The wooden element has an elongated, shallow indentation, but has otherwise been well preserved. The hinge and closure function as intended.
