The Ice Drops necklace was designed by Chao-Hsien Kuo for the Finnish jewelry house Lapponia. The central ornament consists of an asymmetrical composition of elongated silver drops that appear to hang beneath one another like melting ice.
The three lowest drops are individually linked to one another and can move freely. This causes the ornament to change position subtly when worn and to drape gracefully over the neckline.
The necklace itself consists of narrow, elongated bar links approximately 2.5 millimeters wide. The silver has a fine matte texture with a soft silky sheen. The clasp also follows the teardrop shape of the design, allowing it to blend beautifully into the overall piece.
The wearing length is approximately 45 centimeters. From the beginning of the central ornament, the drops extend approximately another 6.5 centimeters downwards.
In addition to the usual hallmarks, one of the drops is marked “50 Years”. This marking refers to Lapponia’s fiftieth anniversary in 2010. The date stamp H9 dates this piece to 2009, meaning it was probably made in anticipation of the anniversary year.
The Ice Drops necklace is in excellent condition. The matte texture has been particularly well preserved, and there are little to no visible signs of wear.

After delivery, the ring will not be resized in the workshop. If necessary, you can have it resized locally at a jeweler of your choice.

Most gold rings can be resized. Each ring is inspected before being made.
