Orville Tsinnie is a respected and well-known silversmith who worked in Shiprock, New Mexico (US).

He started silversmithing through his brother-in-law " Horace Emerson ".
His works are included in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute, among others, and he has received several prizes and awards for his work.

Orville Tsinnie was a silversmith from the Navajo community and made his jewelry in the traditional style . He died in 2017.

This bracelet is a bangle and is beautifully made!
The bangle has a soft triangular shape with the typical Navajo stamps on the sides.
But what really makes this bracelet special is the twisted shape the bracelet has been given.
The highest point of the bracelet runs diagonally across it, that is really tough work!

And another thing; the bracelet is completely closed. There is no hole in it to solder this bracelet closed.

Will you take care of the next chapter?

At Feniks, all jewelry has been part of the life of at least 1 other person.
The piece of jewelry was worn , cherished and every trace has its own story .

A story that will not reveal the jewel.

For this special reason I do not completely erase the traces of the past . The jewelry has been checked and polished but some still bear the marks of the previous owner.

The stories of the past remain a mystery. Will you create the next chapter?
