The first thing that strikes me about this ring is the color of the sapphire.
The blue is bright and vibrant. Not that almost black blue you sometimes see in sapphires, but a fresh, deep hue that immediately catches the light.
Six small diamonds are set around the central sapphire in a white gold setting. This arrangement creates the classic cluster effect so characteristic of this type of ring.
On either side of the center are two small sapphires that flank the whole beautifully and give it extra color.
The ring band subtly splits towards the front, supporting the setting beautifully without appearing heavy. The refined and elegant construction makes the ring comfortable to wear.
This type of sapphire-diamond cluster ring was also traditionally often chosen as an engagement ring, precisely because the design is both classic and timeless.
