Bij deze modernistische ring draait alles om de combinatie van vorm en materiaal. De gepolijste zilveren ringband loopt aan één zijde omhoog en buigt zich asymmetrisch rond een gladde, ronde vorm van donker hout. Het lijkt bijna alsof het zilver rond het hout werd gevouwen.
Midden in het hout zit een kleine zilveren zetting met een briljant geslepen diamant van circa 1,8 mm. Een subtiel lichtpuntje dat het ontwerp precies genoeg breekt.
De donkere kleur en fijne structuur doen aan ebbenhout denken, maar de houtsoort kon niet met zekerheid worden bepaald.
De ring draagt een gehaltestempel 925 voor sterling zilver en een gestileerd makersmerk met twee gespiegelde ronde vormen. De maker kon aan de hand van dit teken niet betrouwbaar worden geïdentificeerd.
De ring verkeert in een goede vintage staat. Op het gepolijste zilver zijn krasjes, kleine butsjes en andere gebruikssporen zichtbaar. Het houten element is mooi bewaard gebleven. Aan de onderzijde van het hout is verharde bevestigingsmassa zichtbaar. Niet vast te stellen is of dit bij de oorspronkelijke montage hoort of het gevolg is van een latere herbevestiging.

After delivery, the ring will not be resized in the workshop. If necessary, you can have it resized locally at a jeweler of your choice.
