A beautiful example of vintage modernist designs and not from the least designers either!
This pendant is by the world famous Finnish designer Elis Kauppi who started the label Kupittaan Kulta .
This pendant consists of almost a full circle made of a thin plate with a pointed Amethyst in the middle. The Amethyst is cabochon cut and is in a closed setting with an open back.
Because the gold is a thin plate, the Amethyst appears to float somewhat.
The pendant was made in the 1970s for the Finnish company Kupittaan Kulta.
