A distinctive silver brooch from the Amsterdam School, made by Gebroeders Reggers in Amsterdam and attributed to Fons Reggers based on its design.
The elongated, slightly curved shape has a finely hammered texture. Over this run two symmetrical, raised scroll motifs that move outwards from the centre. The dark areas in the silver give extra depth to the relief and make the polished lines stand out strongly.
At its centre is a large, hexagonal Amazonite. At both ends, a smaller round blue-green cabochon is placed, which keeps the design beautifully balanced. The hexagonal shape of the central stone, in particular, is unusual and aligns well with the geometric elements of the Amsterdam School.
The brooch bears the maker's mark RR4 of the firm Gebroeders Reggers from Amsterdam. This mark was used between 1925 and 1934. Additionally, a Dutch assay/over-stamp without a numerical fineness indication is present. The maker's mark identifies the workshop; jewellery in this style is typically attributed to Fons Reggers.
The trombone clasp works correctly. The brooch is in good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear and age consistent with its age.
