This ring was designed by Karl -Erik Palmberg for Alton and dates from 1973 , which can be deduced from the Swedish date hallmark Y9 .
At its center is a large, round rock crystal , set in a raised setting. An openwork border of oval shapes runs around the stone, forming a wreath. The motif isn't literally floral, but acts as a frame that keeps the stone loose and visible, even when viewed from the side.
The ring head stands clearly above the finger and has volume without appearing bulky. The ring band is kept smooth and connects directly to the setting, drawing all attention to the upper part.
