This is a distinctive design from the 1960s by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen , Denmark.
The ring consists of a round, solid silver shape, a kind of closed cylinder or “shadow box”, in which a smoky quartz cone is placed centrally.
The stone stands upright, seemingly emerging from the silver base. The contrast between the sleek silver and the transparent, conical smoky quartz makes this design instantly recognizable within Scandinavian modernism.
The smoky quartz is, as far as visible, in perfect condition.
The silver rim of the round shape shows slight dents in two places. No structural damage, but visible upon close inspection.
The ring has a wide, fixed band of 8 mm. It is not adjustable.
Due to the width of the band, the size is smaller than a standard size 52. In practice, you should expect to wear it at least one size larger for comfort.
