This heavy silver panel bracelet was designed in 1972 by Matti J. Hyvärinen for the Finnish company Sirokoru. The bracelet is composed of eight wide panels, each featuring the same pronounced relief.
The irregular surface consists of deep grooves, rough textures, and highly polished areas. As a result, the light reflects differently off the bracelet from various angles.
Riveted hinge connections are located between the individual panels. This makes the bracelet feel sturdy and heavy, yet allows it to fall smoothly around the wrist. One of the eight panels contains the fully integrated box clasp. When closed, the continuous rhythm of the design is beautifully preserved. The clasp functions perfectly and closes securely with a clear click.
On the inside are the hallmarks MJH, 925H, the city mark of Turku, and the year stamp T7. MJH is the maker's mark of Matti J. Hyvärinen, 925H indicates sterling silver, and T7 precisely dates the bracelet to 1972.
The bracelet is in very good vintage condition. It has been worn and shows light scratches and normal signs of use consistent with its age. All hinges move well, and the hidden clasp also works perfectly.
