Beautiful vintage modernist necklace with pendant from 1979 by Finnish designer Matti J Hyvärinen. In 1958 Matti J Hyvärinen started his own company under the name Sirokoru Ky in Turku (Finland).
There he created the world-famous designs for which he would win many awards.
The chain is made entirely with the pendant and consists of square bars of 1.7cm long that are connected by means of an eyelet. The chain without pendant, so the wearing length of the chain is 56.5cm but can easily be worn shorter by placing the clasp in another eyelet.
The pendant itself measures 3.2cm x 2.4cm and is made of one matte side and 1 shiny side.
The pendant is marked on the back with MJH and silver hallmark 925.
The chain itself is fully inspected from left to right with:
* MJH = Matti J Hyvärinen
* 925 = silver content hallmark
* Trapeze symbol = Turku (Finland)
* B8 = 1979
