The Chaîne d’Ancre is one of Hermès' most recognizable designs. In 1938, Robert Dumas was inspired by the heavy anchor chains of ships. The elongated marine link with a crossbar subsequently grew into a lasting symbol within the jewelry collections of the French fashion house.
This vintage Chaîne d’Ancre GM bracelet is made of solid 925 silver and has a remarkably sturdy weight of 72.3 grams. The openwork marine links together form a powerful and graphic design that can be worn both individually and combined.
The bracelet closes with the characteristic toggle clasp. This involves passing the silver bar through the round clasp ring. The bar measures approximately 3.7 cm and the clasp ring has a diameter of approximately 2.3 cm.
The bracelet is signed with HERMÈS. The clasp ring bears, among others, the French Minerva silver hallmark, AG 925, and a French maker's mark in a rhombus, read as Sté ADM with an upward arrow. Comparable Hermès bracelets with this maker's mark are dated around 1980.
The bracelet is in very good vintage condition. The silver shows fine scratches and minor signs of wear consistent with its age and previous use. The toggle clasp works correctly.

Please note: due to the toggle clasp, the suitable wrist circumference is smaller than the total length of 21 cm. Therefore, preferably compare the size with a bracelet that fits comfortably.

Can I have the ring adjusted after delivery?
To avoid back and forth shipments, size changes are made before shipment.
After delivery, the ring will not be resized in the workshop. If necessary, you can have it resized locally at a jeweler of your choice.
Can every ring be resized?
Most gold rings can be resized. Each ring is inspected before being made.
If a size change is not technically justified, I will contact you in advance.
How long is the delivery time with a change?
