These silver cufflinks were designed in 1970 by Matti J. Hyvärinen for the Finnish company Sirokoru. The square fronts feature the same powerful, deeply textured design as the matching panel bracelet.
Each cufflink measures 1.8 by 1.8 centimetres and has a pronounced relief of deep grooves, rough sections, and smoothly polished elevations. This causes the surface to constantly change with the light.
The square front is attached to a fixed bar with a hinged T-bar closure. The T-bar can be folded in to easily insert the cufflink through the buttonhole. When unfolded, it securely holds the cufflink in place.
The cufflinks are in good vintage condition. They have been worn and show light superficial scratches and signs of wear appropriate for their age. Both hinged closures function well.
