This silver Cave Necklace No. 441 was designed by Jacqueline Rabun for Georg Jensen. The design dates from the early 2000s and consists of seven silver spheres that gradually increase in size.
One of the spheres has the characteristic cavity that gives the Cave collection its name. The top and bottom spheres are fixed, while the five spheres in between can rotate freely. As a result, the cavity is not always neatly facing forward. The necklace sometimes decides for itself how it wants to hang.
The pendant is attached to the chain and cannot be worn separately. The fine chain consists of flat, slightly twisted oval links of approximately 1.4 mm wide and 0.8 mm thick. It closes with a lobster clasp.
The chain measures 45 cm. From the chain, the pendant extends another 6.3 cm downwards. The largest sphere at the bottom has a diameter of approximately 1.3 cm.
The eyelet next to the lobster clasp is slightly thicker and soldered shut. The clasp also differs from the clasps seen on other examples of this model. It is therefore likely that the necklace was shortened at a later date and fitted with a different lobster clasp. The exact adjustment can no longer be determined with certainty.
The pendant itself is fully preserved and unaltered.
A signature plate with GEORG JENSEN and 925S hangs from the chain. The bottom sphere is also marked with GJ and 925S.
The necklace is in very good vintage condition. Especially on the largest sphere, light signs of wear and fine scratches are visible. These are not bothersome but do show that the necklace has been worn. Please refer to the detailed photos for this.

After delivery, the ring will not be resized in the workshop. If necessary, you can have it resized locally at a jeweler of your choice.

Most gold rings can be resized. Each ring is inspected before being made.
