Vintage buckle ring in 9 carat yellow gold, made in London in 1980.
The ring is shaped like a belt with a buckle. At the top, you can see an elaborately crafted buckle with a pin, framed by fine relief work and curlicue details. The band of the ring is also decorated on the sides with engraved patterns, so the design continues all around.
Buckle rings have existed since the 19th century and symbolize connection, loyalty, and protection. In this ring, that classic motif has been translated into a gold-colored design from 1980, with great detail on a compact surface.
