This sculptural vintage ring appears to spiral around the finger. However, the wide silver band is fixed together at the bottom. As a result, the ring has one fixed size and is not adjustable.
At both ends, a ribbed 14-carat gold element forms the transition to a round gold bezel setting. Each setting contains a cabochon of bright blue turquoise with a dark natural pattern. The pronounced contrast between the cool silver, warm gold, and vibrant blue gives the ring its powerful appearance.
The ring is hallmarked with 925 for the silver and 585 for the 14-carat gold components. Based on its design, it presumably dates from the 1980s–1990s. The precise maker and origin are unknown.
Due to the wide band, it fits slightly snugger than a narrow ring with the same inner diameter.
The ring is in good vintage condition. There are visible but normal scratches and signs of wear on the polished silver. The gold parts also show slight signs of wear. The cabochons and settings are well-preserved.
