These vintage stud earrings are crafted in 14 carat white gold and set with two brilliant-cut diamonds.
The diamonds are set in a raised setting, allowing them to catch light well when worn. This construction causes the stones to protrude slightly more from the ear than with very flat stud earrings. The earrings measure approximately 5.5 mm wide and protrude approximately 4.8 mm.
Each diamond measures approximately 3 mm in diameter. Based on this size, the diamond weight is estimated at approximately 0.10 ct per stone, totaling approximately 0.20 ct. The diamonds appear almost colorless and are clear to the naked eye. Small inclusions are visible under magnification. The quality is estimated around G/H color and VS clarity.
The stud earrings are hallmarked with 585 for 14 carat gold. The posts are also hallmarked with 585 in an oak leaf, a Dutch hallmark for 14 carat gold. The butterfly backs are not visibly hallmarked but tested as gold.
