Sometimes the power of a ring lies in its simplicity.
This ring features a central diamond in a platinum setting. Platinum has a light gray, cool color that complements the diamond beautifully and reflects light brightly. Furthermore, platinum retains its color and doesn't yellow over time.
The ring band itself is crafted from 18-karat yellow gold , which creates a warm contrast with the cooler platinum of the setting.
The ring is hallmarked "18 CT" and "PT," which refers to this combination of gold and platinum. This construction was widely used in the first half of the 20th century because platinum is strong enough to securely set diamonds without heavy settings.
Based on the design and this combination of materials, the ring can probably be dated to the first half of the 20th century, possibly the interwar period (c. 1920–1940) . An exact dating is not possible because there is no date letter present.
The diamond has a diameter of approximately 4.2 mm and gives the ring a beautiful presence without appearing heavy. The stone has natural inclusions, and there's a small chip on the girdle. This is barely visible to the naked eye, but is, of course, mentioned.

After delivery, the ring will not be resized in the workshop. If necessary, you can have it resized locally at a jeweler of your choice.
